students in Security Studies and International Relations and European Studies from the Department of International Studies and Contemporary History on the challenges of populism and democracy in the 
EU.
The lecture mapped the state of democracy in the EU. It advanced the remedies the EU should employ to respond to growing illiberalism and democratic backsliding in the EU.
