Short bio

Mihaela Herbel holds a PhD in International Relations and European Studies from the Babeș-Bolyai University and was a Robert Bosch Junior visiting fellow.

Mihaela Herbel is a scholar of civil society and cultural policy. Ms Herbel’s research interests are linked to cultural policies and development in Central and Eastern Europe, the role of non-state and subnational actors in European governance and the cultural policy and identity policy in the EU. Ms Herbel has a broad experience both in teaching and research.

Ms Herbel has a broad experience both in teaching and research. She has teaching experience at both BA and MA levels in a range of topics related to policy making and governance in the EU, as well as in transferable skills for European Studies and Security Studies.
