Academic Visit at Buffalo State

Between 4-and 9 April, the D-SKills Jean Monnet Module leader, dr. Cugleșan has conducted a visit to Buffalo State University, NY, US. On this occasion, dr. Cugleșan has participated in several activities: delivering the keynote address during the opening ceremony of the SUNY MEU, teaching activities, a final briefing for the students representing Romania in the SUNY MEU 2022, an expert witness during the simulation, and a presentation in the Faculty workshop.
Dr Cugleșan was invited to deliver the keynote address at the opening ceremony of the SUNY MEU. The topic was the Challenges and Opportunities for the EU in 2022.

Teaching for Buffalo State students on the new member states in the EU and highlighting the case of Romania and its contribution to EU policies after 15 years of EU membership. Dr Cugleșan also met with the students representing Romania in the SUNY MEU simulation for a final discussion before the start of the simulation.
During the two-day simulation, the Faculty team answered the students’ questions in the expert witness panel. Dr Cugleșan covered the case of enlargement and the Ukrainian bid for EU membership. Also, dr. Cugleșan delivered a presentation at the Faculty conference on the digitalisation of the field of EU Studies.
