Dr Cugleșan, D-SKILLS Jean Monnet Module Leader, participated in the 2023 edition of the SUNY MEU in New York between March 30 and April 1.

On this occasion, dr. Cugleșan participated in the IEUSS Research Workshop The Future of Europe –Challenges and Priorities and delivered the paper “The Conference on the Future of Europe: Framing the Romanian and Bulgarian Citizen Perspectives on the Reform of the EU.” One of the objectives of this academic event is to publish an edited volume on the Future of Europe. Also, dr. Cugleșan served on the expert witness panel for approximately 100 students who negotiated for two days a diverse agenda which ranged from issues related to artificial intelligence, EU-China relations or climate change and energy issues. The witness panel aimed to clarify and offer insights into the problems that the students tackled during SUNY MEU.

The panel was organized in partnership with several Jean Monnet Modules and involved the participation of professors from Hofstra University(dr. Carolyn Dudek), Rhodes College(dr. Nikos Zahariadis) and Mr Joseph Dunne(Director of the European Parliament Liaison Office
in Washington, DC)
